Family Planning

Program Purpose & Goal

Talbot County Health Department does not currently offer family planning services on site. However, condoms and pregnancy testing are available free of charge. Additionally, emergency contraception (Plan B) is available to those who are eligible. Community members wishing to access reproductive health care may contact Planned Parenthood of Maryland at their Easton office.

Additionally, students who are enrolled in our School Based Health Centers may access family planning services provided by Choptank Community Health.

Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood of Maryland offers a variety of reproductive health care services including birth control, STI testing and treatment, and abortion services. Payment through insurance or a sliding scale fee for service is available.

Tuesday 9 am – 4:30 pm
Wednesday 9 am – 4:30 pm
Thursday 9 am – 4:30 pm
Friday 8 am – 3:00 pm

Home STI Testing

Convenient and confidential testing for HIV, chlamydia, and gonorrhea is available free of charge to residents of Maryland. Home test kits can be sent to your door in discreet packaging provided byI Want the Kit (IWTK) and the Virginia & Maryland Home HIV Testing Program.
