With dangerously low temperatures expected, Talbot County Government has opened warming centers across the county to offer residents a safe, warm place during regular business hours.
Anyone who is at risk from the extreme cold and lacks adequate shelter is encouraged to visit a warming center. Locations and hours are listed below:
- Talbot County Free Library – Easton Branch, 100 W. Dover Street, Easton, MD 21601 (Currently 9 AM to 6 PM)
- Brookletts Place Senior Center, 400 Brookletts Avenue, Easton, MD 21601 (Currently closed)
- Grace Street, 8262 Ocean Gateway Easton, MD 21601 (Everyday: Currently 24/7)
- Oxford Community Center, 200 Oxford Road, Oxford, MD 21654 (Currently closed)
- St. Michaels Community Center, 103 Railroad Avenue, St. Michaels, MD 21663 (Currently 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Perkins Family YMCA, 300 Seymour Avenue, St. Michaels, MD 21663 (Currently Monday–Friday 9 AM to 5:30 PM)
