While gambling and video gaming may start as fun and social activities, for some people they can develop into serious problems that impact mental health, relationships, and finances.
This page provides information on recognizing the signs of problem gambling and gaming, how to get help, and where to find trusted support both locally and across Maryland.
What Is Problem Gambling?
Problem gambling—also called gambling disorder—is a behavioral addiction that involves an uncontrollable urge to gamble, even when it leads to negative consequences. It can affect anyone, regardless of age, income, or background.
