The Maryland Commission on Public Health is inviting community members to participate in an upcoming public listening session. This event provides an opportunity for the community to share ideas on improving public health services throughout the state.
The session will be held on August 7th, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Participants can choose to attend either in person at the Talbot County Health Department or virtually through Google Meet. While pre-registration is encouraged, it is not mandatory.
To ensure broader participation, Spanish and American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters will be available during the session.
This listening session is part of the Commission’s efforts to identify opportunities for enhancing the delivery of public health services across Maryland.
Community members are invited to share their thoughts on topics such as:
- Organization of public health departments
- Use of information technology in public health services
- Staffing, funding, and contract processes necessary for effective department operations
- Methods of communication and engagement with community members and groups
