Talbot County will be experiencing excessive heat through Wednesday with heat indices exceeding 107 degrees. Talbot County will have cooling centers open Monday through Wednesday for those in need of a cool place with air conditioning and water to escape the heat during the day, where temperatures will be at their highest.

Talbot County Free Library, 100 W Dover St., Easton, MD 21601, Monday 9 AM to 8 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday 9 AM to 6 PM
Brookletts Place Senior Center, 400 Brookletts Ave, Easton MD 21601, Monday through Wednesday, 8 AM to 3 PM.
St. Michaels
Talbot County Free Library (**temporary location), 1013 S. Talbot St, St. Michaels MD 21663, Monday through Wednesday, 10 AM to 6 PM
Perkins Family YMCA, 300 Seymour Ave, St. Michaels MD 21663, Monday through Wednesday 8 AM to 4 PM
St. Michaels Community Center, 103 Railroad Ave, St. Michaels 21663, Monday through Wednesday 9 AM to 5 PM
Please take steps to prepare yourselves by:
- Taking frequent breaks if working outside.
- Trying to stay in shaded places.
- Staying hydrated; drink lots of water.
- Wearing loose, light-weight, light-colored clothing.
